Established in 1982, Zema Estate is a family winery deservedly takes great pride in their achievements and their original philosophies – Estate grown, hand pruned, minimally irrigated, hand crafted, attention to detail – consistently produced exceptional wines. The Family Selection wines represent the cream of the Zema crop. Outstanding parcels of fruit are selected, maturation in French oak barrels for 24 months has further developed the rich, intensity characters of the Cabernet fruit.

The family secret, produced in extremely limited quantities; dominated by a concentration of ripe black berry fruits, highlighted by hints of black currant, and dark chocolate, supported by mint, and toasty oak; great depth and persistence, it will take time to develop and show its full potential

Classic cigar box, mint and blackcurrant flavours come infused with smoky vanillin oak. It’s mid-weight but it finishes strong and varietally proud. This should develop beautifully.. 96 points
