Tasting Notes
Fresh red cherry and strawberry fruit; very attractive wine for immediate consumption.

The 2008 Pinot Noir South, medium ruby-colored, it displays an aromatic array of earth notes, cinnamon, cherry, and cranberry. It has excellent density, sweet fruit, a glossy texture, and excellent length. Drink it over the next 5 years.
Dr. Andrew Pirie was Australia’s first Ph.D. in Viticulture as well as a pioneer in Tasmania vineyards and winemaking. He started his winery in 2003.

Bright and lively, with a nice blackberry note that runs through a modest bed of fine tannin, veering toward cherry as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2014.
