Tasting Notes

The 2007 Barbaresco Nubiola caresses the palate with layers of round,
sumptuous fruit. This is a more generous, enveloping style than the
Tulin, and shows just an extra touch more depth. Dark red fruit, sweet
spices, flowers, licorice and new leather come together beautifully in
this harmonious Barbaresco. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.

Pelissero is one of my favorite producers in Barbaresco. Year in, year
out proprietor Giorgio Pelissero does a fabulous job with all of his
wines, from top to bottom.

Dense and austere in flavor, with a muscular structure dominating any
fruit. A kernel of blackberry and violet is wrapped tightly, emerging
more with air. Fine length. Best from 2013 through 2023.
