Charmingly ripe, with a heady, lightly peppery bouquet of blueberries, cranberries, cassis and blackberries coupled with cedar/vanilla oak, it’s backed by nuances of dark chocolate and a suggestion of raisins. Smooth and polished, its luscious presence of plush dark fruits and vanilla/coconut oak eases into a velvet-like undercarriage of pliant tannin. It finishes just a little angular, with a lingering raisined note, and just needs to be zipped up tight again.
