Tasting Notes
Finesse, elegance, as well as admirable flavors are characteristics of this dark ruby-colored, lighter-styled 1998. Offering abundant quantities of berry fruit, cassis, and spice box aromas and flavors, and an excellent texture, this evolved, delicious Margaux is best consumed during its first decade of life. Readers are advised to take a closer look at this property, which appears to be making better wines.(Wine Advocate #134 Apr 2001)
