Tasting Notes
Scents of damp earth, tobacco, black currants, and smoke emerge from this medium-bodied, ostentatious 2002. While the tannin is noticeable, the wine exhibits a sweet attack, excellent concentration, a reasonably long finish, and a surprisingly seductive personality. Drink it over the next 10-14 years.

Readers should be taking a serious look at this estate as recent vintages have exhibited significant improvement. Du Tertre is a stylish, full-flavored, somewhat exotic Margaux with good aging potential. Moreover, it remains reasonably priced.(Wine Advocate #158 Apr 2005)
