Tasting Notes

The 2006 vintage still turned out very well, as timely leaf-and bunch-thinning enabled all the grape varieties to ripen very nicely. The sugar and phenolic levels were particularly high, combined with fairly low acidity and unusually aromatic fruit.

Soft and friendly, with currant and blackberry character, ripe tannins and a medium finish. Best from 2009 through 2013.

*Surrounded by neighbours such as Ducru-Beaucaillou, Branaire-Ducru,
Beychevelle and Gruaud-Larose, Chateau du Glana is a marvellous way of getting to know the wines from this glorious region.
