Tasting Notes
A reasonably strong effort from Brane-Cantenac, this wine exhibits a bit of lightening to its dark garnet/ruby color and very fragrant aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, as well as black currants and some licorice. Medium-bodied with some sweet tannin, excellent purity, and a nicely textured, mid-weight finish, this wine is already approachable. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2016. Last tasted, 9/02.(Bordeaux Book, 4th Edition Jan 2003)
