Tasting Notes
Readers should take note of this Medoc classified growth whose quality is on the rise after an infusion of capital by its owner, the huge negociant firm of Dourthe. Strong aromas of creme de cassis intermixed with hints of herbs, licorice, damp earth, and barrique jump from the glass of the dense purple-hued 2003. One of the finest Belgraves produced in many years, it possesses a supple, fleshy mid-palate, sweet tannin, and fine purity as well as texture. Drink it over the next 12-14 years.(Wine Advocate #164 Apr 2006)
