Tasting Notes
Colour : Deep crimson red.
Nose : Packed with vibrant mulberry and blueberry fruit aromas; the classic quality indicators for benchmark Barossa Shiraz. The oak is at one with
the fruit – ideally integrated.
Palate : Possessing a dense core of powerful, smallberried black fruit. Impressively poised, with an excellent fruit/oak balance, softened tannins,
succulent mouthfeel and lingering flavours. A pot-pouri of Barossa flavour, warmth and unabashed generosity.

The pure, clean, lush 2000 Shiraz RWT?ˉs aromas of black fruits, tar, and
creosote are followed by a full-bodied, accessible Shiraz with a long
finish.
-by Robert Parker
Lightly over-ripe and jammy, but nurtured into a harmonious, smooth and
creamy wine, revealing a developing but dusty, earthy and leathery aroma
of opulent cassis, redcurrant and plum fruit with cedar/vanilla oak.
Revealing both under and over-ripe flavours, it?ˉs a faster-maturing red
with a supple spine of loose-knit tannins, pleasing balance and harmony.
-by Jeremy Oliver
Strong, deep purple-red; the bouquet offers a mix of blackberry
(dominant), dark plum, chocolate, spice and cassis, all of which make
their presence felt on the velvety palate. Ample but ripe tannins and
controlled French oak round off an altogether superior wine.
-by James Halliday
Rich in character and aristocratic in structure, a noble red that wears
its subtle cherry, blackberry, chocolate, pepper and sweet spice flavors
on a polished frame like a bespoke suit, letting them all play out
elegantly on the well-buffed finish. Drink now through 2015. 3,800 cases
made.
