Colour : A glorious, dark, dense, red purple colour.

Nose :The rich bouquet shows an incredible depth of
ripe berry spice, tobacco, mocha and green tea
aromas with unmistakable Penfolds oak handling.

Palate : The palate has intensely concentrated, mouthfilling fruit flavours showing spicy, rich berry fruit and earthy characters with masses of ripe
tannins and integrated oak, finishing with excellent length.

This wine is generous, open, and sweet in its personality. Dense purple,
this blend of 95% Shiraz and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon shows great fruit, a
very lush, open-knit style with full body, high glycerin, low acidity,
and superb purity. It is a very jammy, voluptuous wine, dominated by its
creme de cassis fruit intermixed with tar and licorice. Anticipated
maturity: now-2017.

Classic, exemplary Grange with a deep, dark red colour. Briary and
perfumed, its heady bouquet of deeply concentrated melange of small
berry aromas and fresh flowers is lifted by superbly handled sweet oak,
with suggestions of mocha and coffee. A deeply concentrated yet
incredibly stylish, long and perfectly weighted palate is framed by
firm, fine tannins. Exceptional balance and harmony. Drink
2021-2031.

Medium to full red-purple; the usual array of richly luscious cherry,
plum and black fruit aromas mingling with mocha and dark chocolate on
the bouquet. The palate is as complex and structured as the bouquet
promises; the tannins pick up early but are not overly aggressive, and
run through a wine showing the full gamut of ripe, old vine Shiraz
flavours.

Rich, chewy, spicy and full of currant and blackberry character, this is
distinctive for the harmony that’s beneath the hedonistic fanfare of
flavors. A stunning wine with all the Grange characteristics. Try from
2005 to 2015. 6,338 cases made.
