Tasting Notes
Reminiscent of a premier cru from Beaune, the 2001 La Lagune reveals aromas of sweet and sour cherries, cedar, and balsam wood with toasty oak in the background. Medium-bodied, elegant, and refreshing, it should be enjoyed over the next 5-7 years. This is the first vintage for one of Bordeaux??s bright young oenologists, Caroline Frey.(Wine Advocate #153 Jun 2004)
