Tasting Notes
From a property that seems to be improving, the dark ruby/purple-tinged 2001 offers copious amounts of cedar, spice box, black currant, and forest floor scents in its distinctively earthy personality. While delicate, it reveals cunning power underneath the subtle flavors. Medium-bodied and moderately tannic, it should be at its best between 2006-2014. (Wine Advocate #153 Jun 2004)
