Matured in barriques for 20 months; perfumed aromas of violets and dark cherries are intermixed with a distinct meatiness overlaid by toasty clove like characters and spicy end notes. Medium weighted and supplely textured, the palate has flavours of savoury dried dark cherries, meaty characters, clove and spicy cedar. Good power with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste. Bottled without filtration.
