Tasting Notes
Beautiful deep ruby colour. A rich tannic of a remarkable fruit wine, very
well structured, concentrated and aromatic.

A very good effort from Siran, this dark ruby-colored wine offers attractive aromas of vanillin, spicy new oak, and sweet, creamy cassis fruit interspersed with subtle fennel and spice box notes. Medium-bodied and ripe, with savory richness, sweet tannin, and low acidity, this excellent, elegant Margaux is already accessible. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2014.

Massive Margaux. Best Siran since the late 1920s. Bright currant and berry aromas, with hints of mushrooms and earth. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and a long, long, fruity finish. Closed, but serious. Best after 2002.
