Trossos del Priorat is founded 2004 and located in Gratallops where they own 21 hectares of organically farmed and certified vineyards. Made under the watchful eye of Toni Coca (Clos Galena, Vinyes Domènech), and the wines soon become the popular choices of international wine critics and connoisseurs. This flagship wine ages 12 months in casks and another 12 months in bottle before being released for sale.

Dry, full-bodied, complex and intense nose; on the palate, its refreshing fleshy tannins, and broad texture precede a long finish

The 2011 Priorat reveals some macerated fruit intermixed with wet slate flavors. It has a good Priorat texture without many excesses and tasty flavors. I’d opt for giving it a little more time in bottle so it has the chance to better integrate the fruit with the oak. 90 points
