Grapes – 60% Sauvignon Blanc , 40% Semillon
Tasting Notes
A blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, Arlewood’s 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has moderate to pronounced notes of fresh lime juice and lemongrass with a touch of asparagus. Medium bodied with a solid backbone of crisp acid, it has a good amount of lemon / lime and vegetal flavors and a long finish. Drink this one now to 2013.

Bright colour, and effusive, with a balanced blend of toasted cashew, straw and tropical fruit notes in the background; the fleshy palate offers vibrant acidity and a clean toasty finish.

Aromatic and lifted on the nose with concentrated citrus and mineral tones finishing with a nice tang on the palate. Not simply fruity and herbaceous, this wine if far more structured and savoury to the core. Long and fine it has a pristine, slightly slippery texture from partial barrel fermentation.
