James Halliday’ s tasting Notes :

Deep purple-crimson; a high quality McLaren Vale shiraz, replete with layers of black fruits, dark chocolate and licorice, firm but fine and ripe tannins, and all the oak that is necessary. Drink by 2030.-94 pts

Ben Thomas’ s tasting notes, The Weekly Review, Melbourne:

Kangarilla Road Shiraz is an old favorite of mine, and this is just the wine to cosy up to in front of a fire on a cold night. Cherry, blackberry and toasty, malty oak aromas lead on to rich flavors of dark berries, spice, chocolate and plum. It’s a smooth, nicely structured wine, with fine tannins offering a nice grip and a bright line of refreshing acid that balances out the rich flavor. A long, deep berry and chocolate finish completes the wine. Food Match: Braised beef ribs.
