Tasting Notes
Although this is a solid effort, for a classified growth Pauillac, expectations are considerably higher. The dark ruby-hued 2005 Croizet Bages reveals a moderately intense nose of cedar, roasted herbs, sweet cherry and currant fruit, damp earth, and fresh mushrooms. This superficial, medium-bodied, elegant Pauillac possesses good acidity as well as soft tannins. It should be drunk over the next decade.(Wine Advocate #176 Apr 2008)
