Tasting Notes
I had high expectations for the 2003, which has turned out to be a very good, solid wine, but not as superb as I had anticipated. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by a chunky, monolithic Margaux revealing high tannin along with plenty of damp earth characteristics interwoven with black currant and cherry fruit. Decent acidity and a borderline rustic style suggest it should be consumed between 2007-2018. (Wine Advocate #164 Apr 2006)
